five koi

Passion fruit is a most unusual vine ( I think there are 500 varieties from around the world) with a psychedelic flower up to three inches that invokes the 60's. In Hawaii there are two varieties producing yellow or purple skinned fruit and here they are known as lilikoi. The fruit in reduced form is used to make jams, syrups, and butters and is one of my very favorite flavors. It's been on my mind to paint it ever since I had a Lilikoi Martini!
