| Cattle Grazing Oprah's Hana Pasture Land |
At some point Oprah purchased a tract of land in Hana that is the site of hot springs sacred to the Hawaiian people. They protested, and she promised not to build on the site, and essentially the site is preserved for the Hawaiians. The caretaker gave the Plein Air group on Maui permission to paint there and I was particularly struck by the idyllic setting enjoyed by these cattle along the road down to the beach and hot springs. |
